Religion and the presidency

A candidate's religion playing a factor in one's voting choices is outright discriminatory. By your vote, even if it's for someone who is of your own faith, you're saying, "I only want someone who believes in the same and anyone else is not good enough." This is, of course, even after ignoring the obvious separation of church and state matter.

Even if we did have a Muslim president, wouldn't that possibly improve our relations with Muslim countries? Not all Muslims are extremists, and all religions have their nutjobs.
