Wyoming anti-gay bill dies!
10:36 AM Posted In good news , government , homosexuality , marriage Edit This 1 Comment »"Legislation to amend the Wyoming constitution to ban same-sex marriage has been defeated in the state legislature.The House voted 35-25 against it, despite massive lobbying by socially conservative groups. The vote ensures the measure will not appear on the ballot in 2010.
The proposed amendment would have defined marriage as a union between a man and a woman and would block the state recognizing same-sex marriages performed in other states or countries where they are legal."
35 to 25 is a pretty big margin.

35 to 35 is a smoking crater, when you consider how republican Wyoming is. Of course, western republicans even to this day tend to be the "I don't like it, bit I like the government interfering with it even less" types (my Dad comes to mind), which I can respect.
