Water Mysteries

Listening to the rain pound on the metal roof overhead reminds me of a conversation during cakes and ale at our outer court Samhain ritual.
Someone told a story of how they had once explained to a Christian who had wondered what we do believe in instead of Hell. She said that we basically believe in karma, paying for our deeds here in this life. The Christian's response: "Well, what fun is that?" Made me wonder if the Christian in question was Catholic. :)
An elder made a crack that not only are drinking and sex ok in our religion, it can be sacred. The High Priest said, "Drinking's a water mystery!"
Me: "Yes, but cirrhosis of the liver is not."
